Hypnosis is a naturally occurring daydream state. If you have ever found yourself daydreaming while gazing into the flames of a fire or looking at waves breaking on a beach then you have experienced hypnosis.
It is not nearly as complicated or scary as you might think.
The difference is that hypnosis deals with the emotional state while psychology deals with the cognotive mind. One client described his experience like this "with sports psychology I knew what I should be doing in competition but even still in competition all the old bad habits came back. After hypnosis everything just feels right"
It is different for everybody. Some clients will choose to just do a few sessions others will return on a regular basis during season and off season.
It really depends on the individual and how far they wish to go.
Yes and no. If you have a converstaion for an hour you won't remember everything that is said. But you will remember the important points. A hypnotherapy session is very similar.
